This tour has been designed for the traveller that wants nothing but the best that Kenya's tourism circuit has to offer. From having a night time game drive (imagine watching the big cats eyes reflect light in Africa's wilderness) to flying over the Mara plains on a balloon ride watching herds of Elephants and Buffaloes to Prides of Lions stalking their prey over the wondrously beautiful plains of the Maasai Mara.

Our choice of accommodation will be the faultlessly stupendous HEMINGWAYS COLLECTION starting with Hemingways Nairobi , Hemingways Mara to Hemingways Watamu along with the simply stunning Enashipai Resort to serve as an out of town retreat.

From luxurious modern settings in the city to the notoriously wild Maasai Mara to the quaint small town of Watamu prepare to be enchanted for life courtesy of this product!

TRIP FEATURES

-Visiting the world famous endangered Rothschild Giraffes at The Giraffe Center and visiting the Karen Blixen museum (Karen Blixen is the Author of the widely acclaimed book "OUT OF AFRICA" of which she penned using the pen name "Isak Dinesen") where we will get to see her former home (now a museum).

- A heart stirring and head spinning Balloon ride over the Maasai Mara to which our guests will be greeted with a sumptuous bush breakfast as a treat for the early morning call to embark on the day's Safari.

-Boat ride to Crescent Island game sanctuary for a Walking Safari flanked by Giraffes, Zebras and gazelles to watching massive Hippos peeping at us from the shallow waters of Lake Naivasha.

- Having a Sundowner in a beach bar surrounded by nothing but happy people (and some favorite drinks of choice)!

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Our guests will be picked up by our tour leader from JKIA in a Mercedes Benz Viano and transferred to the charmingly luxurious Hemingways NAIROBI. On this day our guests will get to relax and enjoy the new surroundings  and also get to enjoy the hotel's facilities and amenities.

 

Day 2 - Our guests will be picked up from the hotel at 10am and transferred to the nearby Giraffe center to have an intimate interaction with the endangered Rothschild giraffes and then have a lunch break at CULTIVA before embarking on an afternoon visit to The Karen Blixen Museum then after they will return to the hotel to prepare the next day's Safari to Naivasha.

 

Day 3 - 8am pickup from Hemingways Nairobi and depart for NAIVASHA in our and move straight to Lake Naivasha and have a boat Safari to Crescent Island for a walking Safari to watch Giraffes and zebras from touching distance and on our way back to divert and see the large Hippos peeping right back at you as they flap their small ears and submerge again under the water then after you will be transferred to Enashipai Resort ( your tour leader will be with you throughout the Safari period) just in time for some late lunch and spend the rest of evening enjoying the serene resort sorroundings.

Day 4 - Pick up from the Enashipai resort and and be transferred to HELL'S GATE NATIONAL PARK for a mountain bike riding Safari watching the wildlife as our guests leisurely bike  in the Park ( CAVEAT: This activity is not recommended for those with joint problems or the aged) then later you will get to have a dip in Africa's largest geothermal pool ( the water at the pool has Brine which contains two natural minerals, Sulphur and Silica, which researchers say have therapeutic and health benefits, such as muscle relaxation for arthritis patients, improvement of blood circulation and treating skin conditions such as acne and eczema).

Day 5 - Depart the resort at 7am for a two hour road trip down south to Naboisho Conservancy as you get to enjoy the scenery of the country where upon arrival you will settle in to the Nina Tents to refresh and relax then embark on an afternoon game drive to see out the day.

Day 6 - Early morning departure from camp for a balloon ride over The Mara Triangle followed by a bush breakfast followed by an intensive game drive to watch the Big FIVE of  the Mara (that is The Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and the Elephant) followed by a Sundowner to close off the day.

Day 7 - On this day our guests will be picked up from camp in their private Safari purposed Landcruiser at 10 am after breakfast for a cultural immersion visit to a Maasai village whereby you will be educated on how the Maasai have stuck to their millenia old way of life all into the age of Iphones and space exploration. (The Maasai are similar to Greece's Spartans known for adhering to a minimalist lifestyle consisting of huge meals consisting mostly of beef and goat meat and having a strong warrior culture using spears and swords to protect the tribe not only from rival communities but also to ward off wild animals as they live in remote parts of the country)You will be transferred early to camp on this day as you will have a night game drive (this is definitely an experience to remember as you will get to hear the lions roar from afar as you are safely nestled in your Safari vehicle) as they feed on a late night catch.

Day 8 - On this day you will be picked up from the camp and transferred to the airstrip for a flight down to Malindi Airport where you will be met by our coastal region Tour Leader (An excellent historian by the way) and be transferred to The Hemingways Watamu where you will get to refresh and relax then in the evening you will have an optional Sundowner watching the sun set over The Indian Ocean.

Day 9 - Our guests will be picked up from the Hemingways in unique local means of transportation called "Tuk Tuks"(you will never find these in New York or London!) for the BIOKEN WATAMU SNAKE PARK to watch the venomous snakes on display as well as to be educated on anti venom production and also to watch a demonstration of a milking (venom extraction) from either a large Cobra or Puff adder. Afterwards we will have a short ride to the ruins of the ancient lost city of Gedi founded in the 11th century and deserted in the 16th century which will be followed by lunch at The Hemingways followed by a sunset dhow ride in the late afternoon in The Indian Ocean.

 

Day 10 - Our guests will be picked up from the Hotel at 9 am for a half day marine park tour and some snorkeling in The turquoise Indian Ocean waters  followed by lunch then back to the beach in the afternoon for some Stand up Paddling with Dolphins (This is a Magical Kenya Signature Experience!)and the guests will be free to spend the evening as they like ( either by lounging by the hotel pool, at the gym or have another sundowner at the beach bar)

 

DAY  11 - Our guests will be picked up from the hotel at 9am in the Morning and transferred to Malindi Airport for an hour's flight back to Nairobi where they will be transferred to Hemingways Nairobi where they will settle down and relax while packing for the following day's flight back home.

 

Day 12 - Early/Late pick up from the hotel for JOMO KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT in a Mercedes Viano for the flight back home.
